1. God is Sovereign and His Word, the Bible, is inspired, inerrant and infallible.

God, the divine owner of all His creation (Ez. 29:3), and exercising divine control over the affairs of man (Pr. 21:1). His Word, the Bible, in its original autograph in Hebrew and Greek, is without error and is of supreme and final authority in faith and life (2 Tim 3:16). The Bible constitutes the complete and final written revelation of God; there are no additional inspired written revelations from God since the book of Revelation. We believe there is one living and true God; infinite, intelligent Spirit, perfect in all His attributes, one in essence but eternally subsistent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He has existed from all eternity in these three persons. From His throne flows the "River of Life" (Rev. 22:1).

Our goal is to teach proper respect for God in our daily affairs and for His creation.

2. Jesus Christ is the source of this "River of Life" (Rev. 22:1 & 7:17, Jn.7:37&38).

He is the source of: eternal life (Jn. 4:14); divine blessing on earth (Ps. 65:9); divine mercy (Is. 49:10); divine guidance and security (Jer. 31:9); spiritual nourishment (Rev. 7:17); spiritual fruitfulness (Rev. 22:1&2, Jer. 17:7&8); and He brings shame to all who forsake Him (Jer. 17:13). We believe Jesus Christ is the express image of the invisible God, which is to say. He is God; and He became man, yet without sin, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary; that He died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for sin; that He rose from the dead in the body in which He was crucified; that He ascended into heaven in that body glorified, where He is now, our interceding High Priest; and that He will return again personally, visibly, and gloriously (John 1:1-18).

Our goal is to nurture faithfulness to Jesus Christ through Bible study, worship, prayer, fellowship and encouragement in right living.

3. The Call of God is to "Come … take of the water of life freely". (Rev.22:17, Is. 55:1)

Jesus extends the call, "If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink" (Jn. 7:37&38). We believe in the fall of man; although originally created in the image of God, through the disobedience of Adam, man fell into a sinful and spiritually dead state, totally unable to justify himself before God (Rom. 3:10, 23; 6:23). All mankind by itself are in violation of God’s righteous requirements and His holy character, both by nature and act. We believe salvation is wholly of God, by grace; that God in love gave His only Son to die on the cross for sin, thus procuring the redemption of those who come to Him; that this salvation is not merited in any way by man; that God commands men everywhere to repent of sin and believe in Christ; and this salvation is eternal in its duration and results in good works. This salvation is offered as a free gift to sinners. This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works, but totally on the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone. We believe before receiving the free gift of eternal life that we were spiritually dead and do not come to God on our own and by our own nature, God is the one who draws us to Him through the work of the Holy Spirit. We become spiritually alive when we receive this free gift of eternal life. (Eph 2:8-9)

Our goal is to extend the call of God to "Come" and take of the "River of Life", to people in whitewater settings.

4. The Church (the house of God) is the conduit of the "River of Life" to the world (Ez.47:1).

Our goal is to encourage faithful participation in a Bible believing, local church.

5. Share the "River of Life" with fellow paddlers

The Great Commission instructs us to go out and make disciples (Mat 28:18-20). To be able to be a good witness and example, it is vital that we are at all times plugged into the "River of Life" by living out God’s Word in our lives. Out of thankfulness for receiving the free gift of eternal life with God, we do good works and try our best to align our lives by God’s Word. As an example, we believe sexual relations between a male husband and a female wife are a blessing from God and all other sexual relations are forbidden (Lev 18:6-30); to contradict this Biblical principle in our own lives would be sin and would completely interfere with our ability to share with others the "River of Life".

Our goal is to be as effective at sharing Christ with others as we possibly can in word, deed and example.

Have you tried the "River of Life"?
