THE VISION OF P4C
By P4C cofounder: Mark Hicks
To strengthen and encourage each other to have a deeper relationship with Christ so that the light of Christ shines through us better as His ambassadors to the paddling world.
This group is not a paddling club. We do love to paddle and we do have a ton of fun together, but this group is so much more than just a paddling club as at our base we love our Lord God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit more than we love to paddle and we love each other.
This type of love is probably the reason we have attracted so many families to the group and why parents have felt safe to bring their kids into this type of environment. Our aim is to put the Lord first in all things and areas of our lives, to show the world that true Christians do not live boring lives, and to see family values and unity promoted.
As Christians, we have the light of Jesus Christ shining within us. We are meant to be His light that shines on the top of the hill to the rest of the world like lighthouses. However, sin in our life that has not been properly dealt with and cleaned out is like a lighthouse that has dirt smeared on its glass that keeps the light from shining through as intended. We all need strengthening and encouragement to keep His light shining as bright as possible and the Lord often uses ones that love Him to come along side as helpful friends that give us spiritually encouraging relationships. We all become better witnesses for Him when our lives are aligned properly in His will. One of the by products of developing a proper relationship with the Heavenly Father is a love and desire to talk about Him and what he has done for you.
It is our vision that this type of relationship would be true in each of our members so we cannot help but have a public witness to the world around us. It is also our desire people come away from our Bible study, worship, prayer and paddling fellowship get togethers revived with a great hunger for the things of God that they take back to their local churches and encourage other believers with.
